Key Records spoke with Karin and Kathy Kettler of the Inuit singing group “Nukariik” moments before their performance at Westboro in Ottawa, Ontario. The name Nukariik translated to English means “Sisters”. Through their many stage appearances throughout Canada, the Nukariik sisters perform the ancient and almost lost Art of throat singing. Together they re-create the traditional Inuit game, which was historically a way to pass time when the men were out hunting.

To find out more about Inuit throat singing visit Nukariik’s website at www.nukariik.ca Or, if you wish to contact Nukariik you can email them at: Info@nukariik.ca
